  • Now more than ever retailers must offer a unique selling point to attract business and mark their difference from competitors one way to do this is by offering locally sourced, high quality British produce.

The industry is expected to generate more than £4.8bn in sales from local products this year alone and, according to recent research by the Institute of Grocery Distribution, food and drink from the South West is in the strongest possible condition to buck the current recessionary pressures.

On the back of such a positive outlook for the region’s produce, the Taste of the West Trade Show 2009 will connect UK retailers with suppliers from the South West. In 2008, more than 2,000 buyers visited the show and the next edition is set to be even bigger.

The event will take place at Exeter’s Westpoint Arena on Monday 30th and Tuesday 31st March 2009. Visit www.tasteofthewesttradeshow.co.uk for more information or call Hale Events
