Cumbrian Shop Is Finalist In Bbc Awards

The Hawkshead Relish shop situated in the centre of Hawkshead Village is one of three finalists in the `Best Local Retailer' category following nominations from BBC audiences and a rigorous judging process of more than 700 entrants.
The picturesque shop offers the full Hawkshead Relish range which features everything from traditional recipes to innovative culinary creations and has become a destination for visitors to the Lake District.
Judges were impressed by the emphasis on regional cuisine in the extensive Hawkshead Relish range incorporating jams, sauces and chutneys and everything in-between as well as the host of other Cumbrian producers represented on the laden shelves. The warm atmosphere and friendly welcome emphasises a truly regional feel, where all the preserves can be tasted and savoured.
The overall winner will be announced at the BBC Good Food Show in November at Birmingham's NEC.
