The core range featured in the showcase includes Mild, Piquant, Delicate and Gourmet varieties. Each one is matured for varying amounts of time to produce different flavour characteristics. The cheese can be used as a cooking ingredient in bakes, toppings and sauces, shaved over salads, meat or pasta or simply served on a cheeseboard.
Retailers interested in featuring a Džiugas embassy showcase can contact the company for details about the arrangement, which involves renting the shelf space direct for the period of the contract. The product is then stocked and sold under contract with full merchandising support.
Alongside Džiugas the Embassy features other Lithuanian dairy products featured, including Pik-Nik cheese straws and Magija, a chilled sweet curd dessert bar.
The first mini-cheese embassy was unveiled at Thornton’s Budgens in Belsize Park by Andrius Nikitinas, the commercial attaché at the Embassy of Lithuania.
