Innovation Award for Wold Top Brewery

Wold Top Brewery, in Bridlington, won the Red Ribbon Award for Innovation at a ceremony hosted by Family Business Place.

The brewery makes traditional real ales from ingredients grown in the Yorkshire Wolds,

Anita Brightley-Hodges, MD of Family Business Place, said, “Wold Top Brewery were chosen as winners because of their clever thinking in raising the profile of their local area in order to attract new customers, because of their efficient operational procedures and because of their innovative thinking in harnessing natural energies to power their business. Kate Balchin, who owns Wold Top Brewery with her husband Alex, added, “The Red Ribbon Awards are the only national awards to recognise the contribution that family businesses of all sizes make to the British economy. It’s the first time that we have entered and we are very proud that our team of 14 has won the award for Innovation and has put the Yorkshire Wolds on the family business map.”
