A new industry expert has joined the judging panel for the New Producer Awards: Adam Sopher, co-founder and director of premium popcorn brand Joe & Seph’s
Adam joins John Shepherd, MD of Partridges and chair of judges; Michael Weber, executive coordinator of purchasing at Whole Foods Market UK; Paul Hargreaves, chief executive of Cotswold Fayre; Jason Gibb, co-founder of Bread & Jam Festival and Holly Shackleton, editor of Speciality Food to complete a judging panel boasting esteemed experts from across the fine food industry.
Adam has seen the Joe & Seph's brand go from kitchen table start-up to internationally renowned brand, and will be sharing the expertise which got the business to this aspirational point with award finalists and Bread & Butter attendees at the Institute of Directors, London on 6th October.
Adam Sopher, co-founder and director of premium popcorn brand Joe & Seph's said, “Myself and my parents started Joe & Seph’s seven years ago with little more than my dad’s recipes, some pots and pans and their kitchen. The food and drink industry is incredibly accessible and we hope that these awards will encourage even more people to start a business.”
Holly Shackleton, editor of Speciality Food said, “I am delighted to have Adam join the Awards' truly exceptional panel of expert judges. Not only does Adam know what it takes to make it in the fine food and drink industry, but he can speak with personal experience about the trials and triumphs it takes to make a start-up business successful.”
