Lawson’s Delicatessen to Open Second Branch in Southwold

Lawson’s Delicatessen of Aldeburgh in Suffolk is to open a new branch in Southwold later this year having secured premises on Victoria Street, close to the Adnams Cellar & Kitchen outlet

Lawson's Delicatessen, which came under new ownership in January 2017, will use the opportunity to launch a new brand for both shops.

The new owners of Lawson's, Clare Jackson and her father John Ormerod, are set to continue to focus on developing the quality and range of British and European cheese and championing varieties made in East Anglia.

Both Aldeburgh and Southwold locations will offer a range of soups, salads, sausage rolls and frozen meals prepared by Lawson’s chefs, as well as other delicatessen products.

Clare Jackson, co-owner of Lawson's Delicatessen said, “We are really excited to have found a new site in Southwold. Once refurbishment of the new premises has taken place, we will open in time for Christmas. Our loyal Aldeburgh customers can be assured that the same friendly team of staff will continue to serve them and support us to build a new team in Southwold. We look forward to getting to know new customers in Southwold and sharing our passion for artisan cheese and other local produce.”

The delicatessen is also looking to recruit an experienced cheesemonger to support the growth of the business.
