  • An exciting new food business opening in Staffordshire will give customers the chance to 'try before they buy.'

The new store, called Brown and Green, is based at Trentham Shopping Village near Stoke-on-Trent.

The official opening will allow customers to find out more about the new store and to sample a range of the regional food and drink available.

Brown and Green is run by husband and wife team Susie and Euan Keenan who also run Shepherd’s Farm Shop in Gloucestershire.

This new venture is a partnership between Shepherd’s Farm Shop and the Blue Diamond Group which own and operate Trentham Garden Centre.

Susie said: “We are all very excited to be here at Trentham opening Brown and Green.  It is a wonderful opportunity for us to discover as much as we can about the great food and drink this region has to offer as we’re passionate about carefully sourcing every product we sell.  We also want to provide our new customers at Trentham with the best food and shopping experience we can offer.”

The official opening will be at 12pm on Saturday 5 June, with tastings continuing throughout the afternoon. The ribbon cutting will be replaced by the cutting of a string of Staffordshire Oatcakes.
