Stock of these products will be available from mid-August.

In order to make room for the new lines, three flavours have been discontinued – Just Ginger, White Raspberry & Vanilla and Milk Tangerine. The producer’s Mini Bar range is also being dropped, and its Extra Fill Plain Dark and Plain Milk are reducing in weight from 100g to 85g.

Stephen Rudkin, founder of Seed & Bean said of the new flavours, “Coconut works wonderfully well in chocolate, and whilst our Lemon & Cardamon has a Middle Eastern Flavour, this is the Tropical Far East in a bar. It’s quite a remarkable taste that is nothing like I imagined before.

“For years I’ve seen the rise of all things aniseed, but finding the right one for chocolate has been quite a challenge. In our new Fennel Seeds & Almond bar, the fennel seeds are crushed to a powder to give a real fresh kick. The almond paste (made from 100% pure roasted Sicilia Almonds) is added as a background, while the almond oil helps the fennel taste linger and adds a rich depth.

“The rise of floral flavours is well known, as we’ve witnessed with the large increase in sales of our lavender chocolate, so we thought it time to bring back one of our favourites. This new dark bar is something rather special, it works tremendously well with very dark chocolate as organic rose otto oil is very strong – it takes around 12 roses to produce each bar! Blended with pure organic Fairtrade Madagascan vanilla essence for its subtle aromatic flavour, this is a great combination.”
