Selfridges Celebrates Mexico

  • To mark 2015 being The Year of Mexico in the UK, from 18th March Selfridges will be hosting a number of events, tastings and demos with leading Mexican chefs and showcasing quality Mexican produce in its Foodhall

The Foodhall will also see its first street food Taqueria, and tequila and mezcal tasting evenings. Ceviche will be served at the Caviar and Prunier House, and churros with a twist will be available from a stand outside the Foodhall.

Mexican cuisine was the first international gastronomy to be recognised as Intangible Cultural Heritage by by UNESCO.

Nathan Herrmann, Selfridges food and restaurants director said, “We are thrilled to partnering with the Mexico Tourist Board to bring the exciting Mexican food scene to London.

“We hope to illustrate to our customers the breadth of range this spectacular country has to offer through a robust calendar of events and demos.”
