  • Leading retail trade event for creative lifestyle buyers, Top Drawer, has thrown its weight behind the inaugural New Producer Awards, sponsoring the New Concept category
Top Drawer Announced as New Producer Awards Category Sponsor

The announcement adds Top Drawer to a growing list of other prestigious businesses – such as Partridges, Cotswold Fayre and Sorba-Freeze – that are also supporting the awards.

The New Producer Awards, run in association with Bread & Butter, aim to shine a spotlight on new producers that are exemplary within their field, and offer promotional support both within the magazine and online as well as the opportunity to get exciting new products in front of some of the highest-regarded professionals – including renowned retailers, distributors, consultants and magazine editors – in the fine food industry.

The New Concept category – one of the seven categories that are available to enter – was created to celebrate fledgling companies which may not have finalised business details like marketing, packaging and workforce.

Alejandra Campos, show director of Top Drawer said, “We are proud to sponsor the ‘New Concept’ category at the New Producer Awards - a perfect fit with our Food Emporium area. Top Drawer, the UK’s leading design-led lifestyle trade show, has been synonymous with top quality products and innovative design since 1985. With increasing demand for new products within a competitive retail landscape, it is more important than ever to support innovative concepts and new talent.

“The Food Emporium, an area uniquely focused on giftable food products, was launched in 2015 in response to a growing interest in specialty foods, and it is currently the fastest growing sector. With more and more gift shops and lifestyle stores adding cafes and food items to their offering; and delis, farm shops and specialty food outlets increasingly selling food gifts, Food Emporium is home for the very best artisans, suppliers and emerging talent.”

Entries for the New Producer Awards are open until 28th July 2017. For more details about the awards visit specialityfoodmagazine.com/awards
