West Country Food and Drink Finder Launched

The website tool recommends farm shops, cafés, pubs, food events and farmers markets in the South West of England.

Features include a Food Finder with a geo-referenced and interactive map that enables visitors to find eateries by location or other search criteria, as well as event listings, recipes, news and an online shop.

John Sheaves, CEO of Taste of the West said, “Food and drink is now one of the top three reasons why visitors flock to our region each year. We also know anecdotally that visitors are constantly striving for top quality experiences, but finding that little gem of a pub or cafe can be a bit of a hit-and-miss activity.

“As a region, we want our visitors to go away having had a top quality experience – one that tells our regional story through the top quality cuisine on offer. Our awards scheme, as well as those run by the main regional tourist offices, use independent assessments to drive excellence throughout the industry – so we can be doubly sure that those we highlight on the new DIY Food Finder site really are the best. Our new website aims to be the ‘go to’ website for visitors to the region when thinking about food and drink.”
