  • The dairy company Arla has launched a campaign to champion cheese and the craft and passion behind it by making stars of the cheesemakers from its six UK-based creameries
Cheesemakers Take Centre Stage in New Campaign

The creameries are Taw Valley, Tuxford & Tebbutt, Llandyrnog, Lockerbie, Trevarrian and Stourton, which produce a wide range of cheeses including Stilton, Cornish Camembert, Brie, Cheddar and cottage cheese.

Arla also supplies own label cheese to many retailers and brands including Castello, Anchor, Apetina, Puck and Arla Professional.

The main platform for the new campaign is a new website (arlacheese.co.uk), where visitors can learn more about the creameries, watch profile videos of the cheesemakers creating their cheeses and visit a news and events section that highlights key messages, developments and achievements.

The campaign also includes advertorial support in publications and a physical presence at country shows and exhibitions.

Katie Bleach, category director for cheese at Arla Foods UK said, “Our farmer owners take great pride in the milk they supply our creameries with. This pride continues through to the way we make all of our cheeses. Our creameries have several hundred years of history. This combined with unrivalled cheesemakers means they are producing products recognised as some of the best in the world.”
