South West Food Conference Set To Inspire

  • The South West’s largest regional conference dedicated to the food and drink industry is due to take place in Cornwall on Thursday 2nd April 2009.

The day long conference, aimed at aspiring food, drink and agriculture businesses in the region, will feature a programme of high calibre speakers and industry experts.

Organised by The Chartered Institute of Marketing and sponsored by Milk Link, the event will take place at the Food Innovation Centre at Duchy College, near Callington, Cornwall. Conference speakers from organisations such as Tesco and Lloyds TSB will be covering issues around: routes to market, finance, communications and innovation. 

The Chartered Institute of Marketing’s food, drink and agriculture ambassador for the South West, John Taylerson said, “A question time style event at Duchy College, which was our precursor to the conference last month, highlighted just how important the food and drink industry is to the South West, and just how many local businesses and producers are keen to develop their knowledge and understanding. By bringing together award winning processors, communicators and ancillary organisations from across the country, we are aiming to inspire and encourage businesses within the sector to not only get through these tough economic times, but develop and thrive.”

The Food and Drink South West Regional Conference will take place on Thursday 2nd April 2009 starting from 9am. Entry costs for the day are priced at £29.40 for Chartered Institute of Marketing members and £39.10 for all non-members.
