Olive Branch Enters Swedish Cheese Market with its ‘Sweet Olive, Fig & Almond’ Relish

Greek food company Olive Branch is pleased to announce a partnership with Sweden's leading Cheese wholesaler Mollans Ost.

Launched at the Speciality Fine Food Fair in September 2013, the product has been made with a Kalamata Olive, cooked in a sweet syrup and mixed with fresh fig and almonds. It has a caramelised flavour that pairs particularly well with many varieties of Cheese, including Goats Cheese and Stilton.

Speaking about this exciting new product, Peter Martenson, Managing Director of Mollans Ost, “I tried the product at the beginning of December and was instantly convinced of its potential for Swedish customers, so much so that I placed an order straightaway with just days to go before Christmas!”

The London based company is well known in the UK for its innovative twist on traditional Greek products and Co-Founder Maria Koinaki commented, “We often meet consumers from around the world and we have always had complimentary feedback from Nordic consumers, so we are excited to have found a great partner for the important Swedish market where we know there will be appreciation for our innovative flavours.”

Together with Mollans Ost, Olive Branch will be launching the Sweet Olive at the Formex trade show in Stockholm, taking place between 15-18 January.
