  • Hull-based retailer, Fields of Anlaby has just been named Butcher's Shop of the Year

“I’m chuffed to bits. It feels as if I’ve won the World Cup. It really doesn’t get much better than being named the best butcher in the country,” said Brian Fields, owner.

“The award has given us some priceless media coverage and new customers are already starting to come in and see what all the fuss is about,” he said.

The store also came out top in the Midlands and East of England category for the second year running.

“Brian’s passion and ambition is more than apparent to anyone who takes a look at his business. He stood out right from the start and his shop is really something special,” said Ed Bedington, editor of the Meat Trades Journal, organisers of the awards.

The awards were held in London on the 17th November.
