Britain’s biggest show for specialist food and drink retailers has announced its awards finalists for 2026.
The Farm Shop & Deli Show, returning to the NEC Birmingham from 13th to 15th April, brings together specialist food businesses from across the UK, celebrating some of the most inspiring with its Retailer Awards.
Finalists, announced on 9th February, range from the tiniest cheese shops and locally loved village stores to larger, destination farm shops worthy of travelling for.
Winners will be announced at the show on 13th April, with all finalists invited to attend.
Recognising businesses that combine success with community impact, the awards celebrate independent retailers championing sustainable British produce and delivering exceptional customer experience.
The shortlist includes 54 businesses across eight categories and from nine UK regions, and includes Newcomer of the Year, which highlights more recently launched businesses already gaining loyal customers and having an impact in their local communities.
Best in Category and Best in Region winners will also be announced, along with the overall Retailer of the Year accolade.
The finalists were chosen by a panel including former award winners, industry experts and wholesalers, with hundreds of entries reviewed and whittled down at an in-person judging day at Fortnum & Mason in London.
They examined criteria including business performance, innovation, sustainability, customer engagement and testimonials from suppliers and shoppers.
