Macknade launches home delivery service

Macknade has launched a home delivery service to serve the needs of the local community. The Kent-based retailer offers customers the choice of either a bespoke box or one pre-packed by the team and filled with popular items.

The business has also expanded its offering with the recently opened Elwick Place site, with a range of daily essentials, specialist ingredients, charcuterie, fresh fruit and vegetables and cheese.

Marketing manager Rosie Collins said, “We have expanded our retail range at Elwick Place with essential groceries and fruit & vegetables to accommodate demand. It is a difficult time for everyone, so we are doing everything we can to support our communities in both locations in whatever way we can. Our staff are doing an incredible job adapting to new roles, especially in support of our new local delivery service, and spirits are still high amongst our team and customers.”

Managing director Stefano Cuomo added, “As a generational, family business, Macknade has seen many challenges in its time. In the last 40 years, as we shifted away from farming, we have been part of huge change – social and economic, internal and external – and this feels like another watershed moment for all of us, made all the more challenging as, at present, it feels outside of our control.”
