A New Way to Sell Fairtrade

Candice Fonseca said, “Since our conception six years ago we’ve prided ourselves on Dockside’s extensive selection of Fairtrade products, and in recent years we have certainly noticed the popularity of these products increase as consumers are becoming more aware of what’s on their plate. With that in mind we wanted to mark the occasion this year by showing our customers how to incorporate responsibly sourced necessities and luxury items into their weekly shop.

“Our knowledgeable team will be on-hand to point customers in the right direction when it comes to choosing Fairtrade products. Whether it’s by adding just one item into their breakfast, lunch and dinner, we will demonstrate how easy it is to become more selective and Fairtrade-savvy.

“As part of our fun ‘Fairtrade Bingo’ initiative, for each select product purchased, customer’s bingo cards will be stamped, offering them the chance of scooping up a delicious prize of either a 100g Divide Chocolate Bar when they have collected a line or a Divine Chocolate Goodie Box for a full-house.

“Once they get a taste for Fairtrade products, we hope that it will inspire them to continue the habit of choosing the option long into the future. As an independent retailer, we understand the importance of such initiatives that guarantee a fair deal for everybody involved – including the consumer.”
