Food and drink producers across the UK are being invited to submit their entries for this year’s Great British Food Awards.
Launched in 2014 to champion and showcase the very best of Britain’s food and drink scene, what sets the Awards apart is their suite of celebrity judges (including Raymond Blanc, William Sitwell, Olly Smith and Adam Handling), stringent judging process, comprehensive print, digital and social coverage, and access to valuable judge feedback.
The Great British Food Awards are recognised as some of the nation’s most prestigious accolades, celebrating not only our regional traditions and ingredients, but our farmers, makers, innovators, and diverse melting pot of cultures.
Gaining a Gold, Silver, Bronze or Grand Champion badge is a symbol of exceptional quality and deliciousness.
Winners say boasting a Great British Food Awards logo really does make their products stand out, appealing to buyers, retailers and consumers.
“We have found that our success in the Great British Food Awards has increased public awareness and provided our individual products with recognition they would have otherwise not achieved. In turn, this has contributed significantly to the success of our business as a whole,” says New Forest Shortbread.
“The Great British Food Awards are one of the most respected accolades in the UK food and drink scene,” adds Hawkshead Relish. “The judging is rigorous and led by true experts so, for us, earning a place – and especially winning – means everything. It’s a real benchmark of quality, and we’re thrilled to have been recognised.”
While Fieldfare says, “Our clutch of Great British Food Awards adds gravitas when we talk about our product quality, and the judging line up is always impressive!”
A standout winner in 2025 was Chapel Down vineyard in Essex, which took two Golds and a Silver. Judge, Charlie Stein, called the maker’s Chapel Down Brut, “Bright and refreshing with green apple, pear, lemon zest, and a touch of brioche. Classic English fruit purity with just enough leesy depth to keep it interesting.”
Jenny O’Neill, head of the Awards team, says, “Each year, the Great British Food Awards celebrate the remarkable talent, craftsmanship and innovation found across the UK’s food and drink sector. We’re proud to provide producers of all sizes with a platform to showcase their products to our expert judging panel. We can’t wait to discover this year’s standout products.”
There are more than 60 categories to enter in 2026, including new categories Alcohol Free, Sweet Snacks and Cocktails.
All entrants will automatically be eligible to be considered for a regional award.
And, due to high demand, entries are being capped at 3,000 – so organisers recommend submitting your products sooner rather than later.
Entries close on Friday, 22nd May, with Gold, Silver and Bronze winners announced on 30th October, and regional winners and the Grand Champion to be honoured at a special ceremony this November.
