Best Trade Organisation Announced

Decided by readers of Meat Management magazine, the Best Trade Organisation award recognises the Guild’s commitment to meat, meat products, shop, staff, procedures and customer service.

“We are absolutely thrilled to win this award, especially as it was decided by a vote. We like to think the Guild fights above its weight and is a true standard-bearer for quality,” says Philip Cranston, chairman.

Many of the UK’s leading independents are members of the Guild, undergoing regular inspections to ensure standards are maintained.

“Membership is one of the meat industry’s highest endorsements of excellence. Consumers can be assured that only the best butchers are admitted,” says Mr Cranston.

“The Q concept not only benefits individual members, but also helps in raising the profile of the independent retail sector,” he adds.

The awards ceremony took place in London’s Royal Garden Hotel and was attended by a number of VIP guests, including former rugby World Cup winner, Kyran Bracken.

“The Guild’s seven regions hold regular meetings and product promotions for members and frequently features leading personalities in the food industry,” adds Mr Cranston.
