Get your free copyThe new online ordering site will allow customers to order from the distributor’s Best of British range of food and drink, which offers over 3,500 lines. Each item in the range is displayed with images and full product descriptions, and website users can search for products by producer name, category and locality.
Changes have also been made to the business’s distribution service, reducing delivery times by 24 hours so retailers can order ambient, chilled and frozen ranges on a day-one-for-day-three basis.
Caoire Blakemore, commercial director at Blakemore Fine Foods said, “Reducing our delivery lead time has taken months of careful planning and consultation, but we are confident that this initiative will greatly improve our service for customers as they will be able to predict their order requirements far more accurately and Blakemore Fine Foods will be able to respond much faster to their requirements.
