  • From 25th February to 9th March, Fairtrade Fortnight will be encouraging consumers up and down the country to make the change towards fair trade.

Fair trade has improved the lives of millions of people - farmers, workers and their families - in developing countries. But, it needs to continue to be promoted to ensure people know that buying fair trade products can make a positive difference.

The Fairtrade Foundation is encouraging retailers to get involved in this year’s campaign and is offering lots of help and information on its Website www.fairtrade.org.uk. Retailers can download posters, POS material and leaflets to help them create a hard-hitting and informative display in-store.

With global sales of fair trade good increasing rapidly (up 40% in 2007), ignoring this growing market isn’t recommended and with more and more products becoming fairly traded, now is really the time to make the change. For more information visit www.fairtrade.org.uk
