  • Nearly 100 suppliers joined fine food distributor, Cotswold Fayre, for its first ever Suppliers’ Conference, called ‘Working In Partnership’, last week

Key speakers from all sectors of the fine food industry gave insightful presentations into how partnership and collaboration are vital for business success.

After the Suppliers’ Conference, guests were invited over to Cotswold Fayre’s premises to celebrate the opening of its new distribution centre.

Paul Hargreaves, Managing Director of Cotswold Fayre, said, “Without doubt the future of independent fine food retail lies within leveraging and capitalising on the relationships between suppliers, distributors and retailers.

“Partnership lies at the heart of our business ethos and it is something we are keen to build on as we continue to grow.”

The conference also raised £2000, which will go towards Cotswold Fayre’s goal of raising £5000 for the Bala Orphanage in Kenya. The money raised will provide irrigation for the land around the orphanage, enabling them to grown their own maize.

Paul Hargreaves concluded, “I’d like to say a big thank you to all those that contributed to this truly worthy cause. It will go a long way in helping the children who rely on the care that the orphanage provides.”
