FDF partners up with job recruitment apps

The Food and Drink Federation has teamed up with job recruitments apps Placed and SonicJobs in a 16-week partnership in order to share potential job opportunities across the food and drink industry. The Covid-19 crisis has resulted in many workers facing redundancy or placed on furlough. The partnership will focus on jobs in distribution warehouses, driving and logistics.

Placed is a London-focused platform with 130,000 hospitality candidates signed up and SonicJobs has over 200,000 candidates, with a large portion of its user base having the necessary transferable skills for FDF members.

Nicki Hunt, director of membership and commercial engagement, said, “We’re very pleased to be working with Placed and SonicJobs to provide opportunities to those people who may well be finding it difficult to find work in their usual industries. The food and drink supply chain employs so many talented people, the hidden heroes who keep the country fed, and during challenging times such as these it’s important we can support one another in whatever way possible.”
