Seaweed shortbread

Made using a blend of three seaweeds, Stag’s Seaweed Shortbread is a moreish treat that blurs the lines between sweet and savoury. Taking a traditional shortbread recipe as its base, the satisfying and familiar sweetness is then offset with sea salt and seaweed for a truly unique but strangely irresistible flavour profile. Inspired by the landscapes of Stag’s location in Stornoway, what could be more evocative of the Outer Hebrides than a classic sweet biscuit with a hint of the sea? The Seaweed Shortbread was awarded two stars in the 2022 Great Taste Awards and is a biscuit with a difference.
