Barkham Blue Wins International Award

Barkham Blue is produced by Two Hoots Cheese, a family business based in Barkham near Wokingham. The creamery makes cheese by hand and using traditional methods, from a combination of cow’s and ewe’s milk. This award is the newest addition to a long line of awards presented to Barkham Blue, an ammonite-shaped rich and buttery blue, which avoids the harshness often linked to blue cheeses.

The award was presented by culture:the word on cheese magazine, which named the winning cheese after a year of competitions including the British Cheese Awards, the International Cheese Awards and the World Cheese Awards, and title-holders were chosen for their texture, appearance, flavour and geography.
