The competition is being held in order to celebrate the best of British food and the people who create and sell it.

Judges confirmed so far include Angela Hartnett, Fiona Beckett, Gillian Carter from BBC Good Food Magazine, Paula McIntyre and Adam Henson.

Sheila Dillon, founder said, “Since 2000, BBC Radio 4’s Food and Farming Awards have celebrated the people who are ensuring great quality food continues to be produced and sold in the UK. The readers of Speciality Food Magazine and website are exactly the kind of people we want to see nominated, and to send in nominations.

“They know who’s behind excellent food and drink and where inspirational stories can be found. They can make a real difference in our search for the UK’s Best Food Retailer and Best Food and Drinks Producers. Please tell us who you think deserves to be celebrated.”
