  • The winners of the British Cheese Awards 2016 have been announced, with Cropwell Bishop's Shropshire Blue leading the pack as Supreme Champion

The cheese was also awarded the Best English – Patrick Rance Trophy and Best Blue Cheese title.

The Reserve Champion title was awarded to Lightwood Cheese Ltd for its St Thom cheese, which also won Best Goat Cheese.

Other winners include Golden Cenarth from Caws Cenarth (Best Semi-Soft Cheese), Traditional Double Gloucester from Wensleydale Dairy Products (Best Territorial – non-Cheddar) and Wyfe of Bath from Bath Soft Cheese (Best Organic Cheese).
