  • Five months and already counting: a farm shop in Kent is ready to capitalise on this year's festive custom

Inspired by the success of Lapland UK, which expects to see 60,000 parents and children from across the country attend this year’s event, Hop Farm Shop has organised its own attraction, Santa’s Magical Kingdom.

“I have been planning a Christmas event of this size for quite a few years. We have designed the event to bring all the fun and magic alive for families who are visiting the attraction this year,” says Peter Bull, owner.

“My vision is to create the ultimate fantasy Christmas themed event, which meets every child’s dream and gives value for money in a recession,” he adds.

The event will run on the same dates as the established Lapland UK (November 14 to Christmas Eve) also promising to give children the chance to meet Father Christmas and his reindeer, after a festive spot of shopping.

Lapland UK tickets cost between £57.50 and £87.50.

Tickets for Santa’s Magical Kingdom cost £25, 50,000 of which are now on sale through the website
