Confectioners Go Online

With the majority of confectionery producers having an online presence and many large and small-scale shops following suit, the time has come for sweet manufacturers and shops to go online in order to maintain steady growth.

Lucy Scott Paul, owner of Bah Humbugs said, “When I first launched the online shop in 2005 I was one of only a handful of online sweet shops in the country and the sales were huge. Nowadays, there are a lot of people selling sweets and sweet gifts online, so competition is high and we’re always having to think of new ways to attract and entice customers. We’ve just re-launched our new website which is the bees-knees in terms of e-commerce, and are finding that sales have increased based on the new search-engine-friendly design of it.”
