Farm Shop Turns Steak House By Night

  • A forward-thinking Yorkshire retailer has tapped into the lucrative evening trade by launching a weekend steakhouse.

Between 6pm and 9pm every Friday and Saturday, customers at Hinchliffe’s Farm Shop in Netherton will be able to tuck into an a la carte menu that includes home-smoked barbecue ribs, beef carpaccio and a range of 30-day matured steaks.

This will be complemented by a new wine list offering six red and six whites by the bottle, and a cocktail list, which includes summer quenchers such as Pimms, mojitos and Champagne cocktails.

“Lunchtimes in the restaurant were getting so busy we felt it would be nice for more people to enjoy our home-cooked food in an intimate evening setting,” says Simon Hirst, general manager. “But, unlike many other restaurants and steakhouses, we know that our meat and produce is top quality because we’ve either reared and produced it ourselves or sourced it locally.”

And it’s not just the menu that will have a makeover for the evening openings; diners will be able to enjoy pre-dinner drinks in a snug seating area, complete with candles, linen tablecloths and stunning views of the Yorkshire hills.
