Host Your Own Cider Festival

The West Country-based shop sells award-winning ciders which have been made from pure fresh cider apple juice. All of the cider is sourced from independent producers within a 50 mile radius of Bristol.

The package contains a hand-selected range of award-winning cider and perry, which can be tailored to requirements or bought ‘off the shelf’, and tasting notes, and the business will also promote the event via their website, social media pages, monthly newsletter and within their shop.

Peter Snowman, owner of Bristol Cider Shop said, “We have so many people asking us to help them organise cider festivals. A lot of publicans and festival organisers are absolute experts when it comes to beer, but they don’t necessarily have the same background in cider. That’s where we come in.”

Tasting evenings are a profitable way to create an event using the box. “The traditional things to be paired with cider are pork-based products such as pork pies and scotch eggs – salty flavours temper the sweetness of the cider brilliantly. For a similar reason cheese works very well too, as the dryness of the cider pairs brilliantly with the fruity richness of the cheese. A delicate perry works wonderfully with fish, and a richer cider pairs well with puddings. The simplest thing to do is to pair cider with a bit of cheese and a pork pie – you can’t go wrong!”
