  • Great British Food, the brand new consumer magazine from the publishers of Speciality Food, is now available from WH Smith stores nationwide and online here

Launched exclusively in WH Smith stores throughout the country, Great British Food promotes the UK’s best food and drink producers, retail outlets and chefs and offers over 150 recipes, tips and ideas to whet the appetite.

In this special bumper issue, read what Mark Hix has to say about sourcing the best of British grub, learn how to cook fantastic meals direct from the farm with Rachel Green and give your sweet tooth a treat with James Martin’s decadent desserts. The magazine also offers an insight into oyster dredging off Colchester’s shores and a look at some of Britain’s pioneering producers from the far south in Cornwall, to the north of Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Comments editor, Nicola Mallett, “Great British Food is all about showcasing some of the amazing produce available from all four corners of Britain. We wanted to create a magazine that unites features, interviews and producer profiles with fabulous recipes from some of the best chefs and personalities in the business.”

Alongside the recipes and features, well known names such as Henrietta Green, Rose Prince, Gregg Wallace and Claire Macdonald speak about their own British food experiences, offering seasonal tips and ideas on how to source locally. It also focuses on iconic brands, as well as rising stars. “We wanted the magazine to support independent retailers so there are loads of tips to encourage people to go to their local shops,” explains Miss Mallett. “Great British Food offers buyer’s guides throughout the magazine, giving people new ideas on how, why and where to shop.”

On sale in all WH Smith stores across the country, Great British Food will be available until the end of December. It can also be purchased online here for £4.99 plus £2 postage & packing.
