New Mezze Range Proves Popular with Retailers

My Olive Branch, which imports olive oil and olive oil-based products from Greece, released the new range to offer an authentic taste of Greek flavours to consumers.

The range consists of a Red Pepper Paste, a Sun Dried Tomato Paste, an Aubergine & Basil Paste and a Sun Dried Tomato, Olive, Caper & Garlic Mix.

Kamil Shah, who co-owns My Olive Branch, said, “We launched the Greek mezze as a range of ambient retail products and they’ve taken off really well. Since we launched, some of our stockists started asking us if we could offer the jars in larger sizes so they could use them in their on-site restaurants and cafés. They were very successful, so we’ve added catering-size jars to the range as well. By using the mezze in their restaurants, retailers have the option to cross-sell the products in their deli.

“Our flagship product, the red pepper paste, is made with ingredients from a region in the north of Greece famous for its peppers. We chargrill them, remove the skin and then grind them with a bit of chilli, to create a nice balance of sweet and spicy flavours.”
