  • To promote the 'two a week' message to consumers, Seafish, which works across all sectors of the UK seafood industry, has created new labels for use on seafood products in supermarkets, fishmongers and independent retailers.

The label templates have been created following consultation with the Seafood Fortnight steering group where key industry contacts have been working together to maximise the impact of the message.

Ian Frostick, retail sales director from Lyons Seafoods, one of the industry’s leading processors and a member of the steering group, says, “We spent a lot of time developing the best layout and style for the labels and are confident we’ve come up with something to suit businesses of all sizes. The ‘two a week’ logo is already being recognised by consumers and these labels will give maximum stand out, ensuring people are reminded of the importance of eating two portions of seafood a week.”
