Retailers can get involved in the Make One Change campaign by working alongside fellow independent shops – from delis and farm shops to butchers and cheesemongers – to offer incentives such as discounts, loyalty schemes and bonuses to boost sales and increase footfall long-term.

Anthony Davison, founder of Big Barn said, “BigBarn is committed to helping small producers and independent retailers and Make One Change is a campaign aimed at doing just that. We want consumers to think beyond the supermarket and consider ways that they can make small changes to the way they shop that will be a big difference to rural businesses and hardworking farmers.

“The more retailers who get behind and support this campaign, the better, as without your help we can’t reach the number of consumers that we need to. This is your chance to really wave the flag for independent retailers and encourage even more people to shop with independent stores and support small producers.

“Please get in touch for more information or ideas or follow us on twitter @findlocalfood for updates on how you can get involved in the campaign.”
