- The producer has created a range of dried mushrooms which have been smoked using Scotch Whisky-barrel oak sawdust
A selection of strongly-flavoured mushrooms are available in the range, including Morels, Porcini, Shiitake, Trompettes, Chanterelles and Mixed Forest. Each jar is packed with five mushrooms, and prices range from £2.15 to £15.50.
The Oak Smokie range also includes a selection of smoked condiments including salt and pepper, mustard seed, chillies, paprika and garlic. Last year, the company’s Smoked Mixed Scottish Seaweed was also very popular.
The versatile range is suitable for use in sauces, risottos, stews and soups.
