The 2021 International Cheese and Dairy Awards are now open

After a challenging year for the dairy sector, the 2021 International Cheese and Dairy Awards and the Cheeseboard Awards are now welcoming entries from existing and new producers.

This year’s event will include two new Supreme Awards, The George Lawrence Supreme Dairy Trophy and The Supreme Cheese Board Award Trophy, which will be announced with the Supreme Cheese Champion and Retailer of the Year during the trade lunch.

October will also see the launch of the Cheeseboard Awards, which will celebrate all of the food and drink that accompanies cheese.

The newly branded show will take place at a new venue of Bingley Hall, Staffordshire County Showground, on 21st October 2021, followed by Love Cheese Live on 22nd and 23rd October.

“After such a traumatic period for us all and the need to hold our resolve, the past two years have been challenging for numerous reasons,” said chairman Ian Luxton. “The postponement of many events in the UK over the past 18 months has been difficult to negotiate, but the success of the vaccine rollout has given us all hope for a much brighter road ahead.

“I’m delighted to announce that preparations for the International Cheese and Dairy Awards being held on 21st-23rd October in 2021 are now at an advanced stage and with tremendous support from the industry, along with tireless work from an exceptional committee, we are ready to bounce back with a bigger and better event,” he said.
