IFE launches Big Business Break for small brands in 2023

The competition will see both fledgling and long-standing brands, in need of a boost to reach the next level, vying for the chance to win up to half a million pounds in investment from global food leaders Surya Foods to help grow their business.

An expert judging panel – including Noor Ali, Asda’s head of world foods, David Jago, Mintel’s innovations expert, and Harry Dulai, Surya Foods’ managing director – will be putting entrepreneurs through their paces in order to crown a winner at this year’s event.

Speaking about the launch, Philippa Christer, event director at IFE, said, “IFE is an event where food and drink businesses can make the connections that lead to game-changing opportunities.

“The IFE team are working with a panel of esteemed industry experts that know what it takes to succeed in highly competitive marketplaces and are ready to help take the right brand to the next stage of their journey. We’re so excited to see what’s in store for the winning business, so get entering!”

IFE’s Big Business Break will take place within IFE’s New Products Tasting Theatre – which is brand new for 2023. Up to four finalists will make their final pitch for investment at the event.

IFE’s New Products Tasting Theatre allows exhibitors to pitch their products direct to senior decision-makers from across the food and drink sector. The immersive experience has been created to enable food and drink manufacturers and brand owners to meet face-to-face with buyers, who can easily sample new and recently launched products.

The winner will also receive marketing support from IFE and receive a complimentary stand at the 2024 trade show.

Entry is now open to existing IFE exhibitors, who can sign up here.
