Partridges is promoting produce from the Spanish food and drink industry until 18th February 2020, giving UK consumers the opportunity to get to know gourmet produce from the region. The family-owned retailer will be highlighting 14 Spanish companies during the two-week Point of Sale Promotion at the London-based store, in association with FIAB (Spanish Food & Drink Industries Federation) and supported by MAPA (Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food).
On show at the retailer includes Iberian products (Spanish ham from COVAP and Consorcio del Jabugo), olive oil (Castillo de Canena, La Chinata and Aceites García de la Cruz), sparkling water and juices (Vichy Catalan), chocolate and confectionary (Valor, Bombons Cudie and El Almendro), olives (Aceitunas Torrent and Faroliva), saffron (Verdu Canto Saffron Spain), honey (Mileso) and canned food (Conservas Agromar).
The UK is the Spanish food and drink sector’s fourth trade partner, with exports of more than €2,000m in 2018, just behind France, Italy and Portugal.
In the same year the Spanish food and drink sector turnover exceeded €116,000m, providing an added value of more than €30,000m, which is 3% of Spanish GDP and 20% of the Spanish manufacturing industry.
