Cake Shaped Like Farm Shop for 30th Anniversary

  • A farm shop in Southbourne has celebrated its 30th anniversary with a specially designed cake that looks exactly like the store

Southbourne Farm Shop turns 30 years old this year, and to celebrate the staff had a party at the Pavilion tea rooms at Stansted Park. They also enjoyed a hog roast, and a special sponge cake made in the shape of the farm shop.

On the shop’s blog, a contributor said, “It certainly looked too good to eat, but nevertheless we sliced into the farm as we celebrated the anniversary into the late evening.”

The shop is a family-run business that stocks an extensive range of fresh, local farm produce. Freshly laid eggs and local honey join home baked cheese sticks and French-style baguettes as well as quality meat and pies from the nearby Emsworth Butchers. Seasonal fruit and veg are also supplied and fresh fish such as salmon is delivered every week.

The cake was made by Blossom & Crumb.
