- The popular mushrooms have been reintroduced to The Progressive Food Company's selection of hand-picked forest mushrooms
The Foresta range now contains 25g bags of porcini, shiitake, chanterelle and mixed forest mushroom varieties, all of which are 100 per cent natural and have an ambient shelf life of two years. Each carton contains a wood-effect tray for convenient merchandising.
The range has been created especially for the British fine food sector, and is available at Infinity Foods, Hider Foods, Marigold Health Foods and Shire Foods of Norfolk.
James Green of The Progressive Food Company said, “We were not able to source chanterelles at a price which we felt was reasonable for our customers for most of 2014, but we are delighted to be able to add this popular variety back into the Foresta range this year.
“One of the most distinctively flavoured mushrooms in the world, chanterelles are noted for their soft flesh and apricot-like fragrance.”
