- Heart of England Fine Foods has held its seventh annual Diamond Awards ceremony, in celebration of the heart of England's food and drink sector
Retailers, specialist food producers and hospitality providers gathered at Hilton Birmingham Metropole at NEC Birmingham on 10th May for the announcement of the winners of the awards, which ranged from Best Retailer to Condiments and Preserves.
The Special Diamond Award: TASTE was awarded by BBC presenter Sarah Falkland to Churchfields Farmhouse Ice Cream for their Worcestershire Plum Ice Cream.
Karen Davies MBE, chief executive of HEFF said, “The finalists in our seventh Diamond Awards highlight just how strong the food and drink sector is in the heart of England, it certainly made the process very hard and the judges had some tough decisions to make.
“The winners who have been announced tonight should feel extremely proud of their award, along with all the finalists who should celebrate their achievements. We look forward to continuing to promote the very best of food and drink from the heart of England.”
