The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the National Railway Museum on 25th September, being held as part of York Food and Drink Festival: the Regional Food Group for Yorkshire and Humber (RFG)‘s showcase of the region’s best food and drink.

Jeremy Holmes, founder of Yummy Yorkshire, said “We’re very pleased to be nominated for such a prestigious regional award so soon after receiving three Great Taste Awards.”

The company has come to the attention of the Award organisers thanks to its popular Hazelnut and Toffee & Cherry flavours. Mr Holmes added, “Both the Hazelnut and Toffee & Cherry flavours epitomise what Yummy Yorkshire is all about; creating high quality, unique and interesting flavours that contain the very finest ingredients, sourced as close to our farm where possible.”

This is not the first time that the family-run company has received accolades for its artisanal tastes; the 2013 Great Taste Awards presented its Basil-flavoured ice cream with a two star Gold rating, and its Coconut & Mango and Black Garlic variants received one star Gold rating apiece.

As well as being sold at the farm’s on site ice cream parlour and coffee shop, the product is available to buy at a number of local attractions including Ripley Castle and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, plus is stocked at local farm shops, delis and tea rooms.
