  • California Raisins is inviting all craft/artisan bakers in the UK to take part in the very first California Raisin Bread Competition, with a fantastic trip to Las Vegas as a star prize.

If you think you can produce the best looking, best tasting raisin bread, join in and you could win a fantastic trip to IBIE - the world’s biggest, freshest, most comprehensive baking expo in Las Vegas in 2010, combined with a study trip to California, and some amazing PR for the product and your business. Second and third places will both receive free PR and advertising for the company and winning product.

The California Raisin Administrative Committee is committed to improving the overall quality of baked goods in the UK. California Raisin growers seek to recognise and reward the creativity of the UK’s bakers, encourage new product development, and let consumers know of the variety of bread products that can be made with the best quality, all natural ingredient.

The final judging and award ceremony will be held at the NAMB annual conference in Bournemouth in May. If you are a craft baker, retail shop owner or manager, part of a commercial bakery or a bakery technician, then you’re eligible to enter the competition. The deadline for entries is 19th March 2009.
