Taking place from 11am until 6pm on Tuesday 31st October at Church House in Deans Yard, Westminster, this will be the seventh edition of the popular trade only show.
Real Italian Wine & Food, proudly champions lesser-known Italian regions’ wines and food. The Regional Guest of Honour this year, with over 25 producers attending, is Sardinia, but producers will be visiting from all over Italy, including companies from areas such as Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna, Lazio and Puglia. Some are already established in the UK market, whilst others are looking for representation. In total, over 50 producers will showcase their wares.
Pane carasau – a traditional Sardinian flatbread, also known as carta musica because of the resemblance to the parchment on which sacred music was written – extra virgin olive oil, and mozzarella will be just some of the foodstuffs showcased by producers, as well as many other varieties of cheese, hams, dry and fresh pasta, and preserves.
Testimonials from past attendees include: “Excellent initiative: focussing on the diversity of national and regional wines is essential,” says P Bello of House of Hallgarden. “We were able to register many interested trade parties with whom we are now in partnership with,” says Gianluigi Loi, wine holder.
