SALSA Launches Food Labelling Workshops

The Food Information for Consumers Regulations (FICR) courses will ensure that all small and micro-sized producers are compliant with the new guidelines, and that consumers can be better informed about the food they buy.

Sally Ball, scheme manager said, “The new labelling regulations are proving to be a complex matter for all food producers. The SALSA FICR one-day workshops will focus on the particular needs and concerns of small and micro-sized businesses in order ensure their product labels are 100 per cent compliant. The workshops will be of particular value to producers who may not have access to the technical resources needed to respond confidently to this new food legislation. To ensure they are accessible to all, the workshops will be held at locations across England, Scotland and Wales.”

The course is open to both members and non-members, and 12 places are available at each workshop.
