The aim of the event is to support local and rural economies while developing food and drink supply chains, with over 60 business based in the local area exhibiting in order to potentially build beneficial relationships with buyers and chefs.

Retailers will be given the opportunity to source new ingredients and products as well as attend a seminar focused on supporting the rural economy. A drop-in advice clinic will be open to exhibitors and businesses owners on the day, and this year’s event will host the first Meet the Buyers panel allowing producers to pitch their produce to a panel of buyers.

Tracy Nash, commercial manager at Hampshire Fare said, “This unique event brings together the region’s high-quality food and drink producers with food and drink industry buyers, chefs, caterers and procurement teams. The Local Produce Show always has a fantastic atmosphere with real connections being made on the day. The event is a must visit for both suppliers and buyers of local produce in our region.”

John Davey, director of sponsor Cavendish Ships Stores said, “What started as a small gathering on a P&O ship 10 years ago to promote supply to the cruise industry, has grown into an event which supports a huge array of food and beverage producers and food procurement across a wide spectrum of industries and goes from strength to strength each year.”
