Farm Shop & Deli Awards judges revealed

The Farm Shop & Deli Awards, in partnership with The Grocer and sponsored by Garofalo and Food & Drink Wales, has announced its 2021 judging panel.

Among the judges joining Nigel Barden, the chair of judges, and Elaine Lemm, co-chair of judges, are experts from the world of speciality retail, fine food and food media, including Speciality Food editor Holly Shackleton; John Gill, head of commercial operations and buyer at Booths; Simon Hurley, managing director at P2P Food Solutions; Victoria Robertshaw, founder of Keelham Farm Shop and Delicious Planet Consultancy and more.

For this unprecedented year, rather than focusing on financial success, the Awards are placing more emphasis on how specialist retailers have adapted their business and supported their community, staff and suppliers throughout 2020.

Following its call for judges, consumers and suppliers to nominate retailers who deserved recognition for their community support this year, the Awards received nearly 900 nominations for more than 350 individual retailers.

You can read more about the nominated retailers here.

Retailers who have been nominated or who feel they have gone above and beyond to support their communities this year are invited to enter the awards free of charge here before the deadline on 31st December.
