5 minutes with Nati Azar, Airsnax

What would you be doing if you weren’t in the food industry?
I’d be thinking about how to get to it – probably coming up with ideas and recipes for new foods.

What was your first job?
My first job was with my dad – I’d go with him to sweep new properties and developments to make them ready for the new owners (he thought it would be a good skill for the future).

What inspires you?
I’m really inspired by science – you can really learn something new everyday!

What’s the worst job you’ve done?
I’ve always worked in jobs I’ve enjoyed so I don’t really have a worst job.

What’s your favourite part of the job?
I love learning new things about food and nutrition, meeting talented new people and seeing my brand succeed.

And your least favourite?
I’m enjoying all areas of the job but I do find it a challenge trying to contact buyers.

How about the food industry?
I love the whole industry – so many great people and such positive energy. Everyone is so supportive and shares advice and tips from their own experiences.

What would be your last supper?
It would have to be pizza – made in Italy, with plenty of green olives.

What’s your motto?
To make the world a better place

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?
As a child, on a trip to the park once, my Mum had given me a bag of snacks. Halfway there, I noticed it was full of ants! I ate the snacks anyway so probably ate a few ants too.

What’s your favourite book?
Shoe Dog by Phil Knight

Sweet or savoury?
I’d have to say savoury in support of AirSnax, but in reality, I’d take both!
